ANATOLY
NAZIROV is not only a poet, but a professor of philosophy at the University
of St-Petersburg in Russia. He holds the title of Academician (a
very high rank indeed) and is a member of the esteemed Petrovskaya Academy
of Sciences and Arts in St-Petersburg. Interestingly enough, his
first academic degree was in physics. Today Dr Nazirov specialises
in the philosophy of science -- particularly in exploring the topology
of space and time.
IVAN
ZHAVORONKOV is a post-graduate student living in Toronto. After receiving
his degree (in English and French philology) from the Taurida National
University in the Crimea (Ukraine), he emigrated to Canada and recently
graduated with honours from the Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology
in Toronto. He has been a poet and poetic translator since 1997,
and his work has appeared in the St-Petersburg philosophical-poetic almanac
EIDOS.
